Team Joshua
Story
Joshua is such a happy baby! At 15months old, he is often smiling and laughing and occassionally putting his feet in his mouth as kids do!
Seems so long ago in late 2012 that he had a 4 month stay at the Royal Children's Hospital, where he was there for 5 weeks after birth due to breathing issues. Then after a few days at home, he was rushed back in where he arrested in the emergency ward. We were grateful in knowing that Joshy was born with good luck like us as he was in good hands.
We were delighted to bring Joshua home after another 3 months, where we started to learn braille and he welcomed us into his world of vision impairment where we had a lot of learning to do!
Last year our team raised $10,500 which was an amazing effort! We'd like to give back to the hospital that gave us so much. The doctors, nurses, specialists and surgeons all had a part in Joshua's journey. Many went above and beyond and answered our tireless questions and referred us onto other people as we information gathered. We see some specialists for 6monthly or yearly appointments now.
We thank you for supporting our little family and our team members. Happy Running & Walking to the rest of the other teams!
If you see our team, please say hi or give us a high 5 - it certainly helps when some of the team (being non runners) like ourselves are attempting to run!
