Hi Team Isla Supporter,

 

For the 4th year in a row we have put Team Isla together for the Run for the Kids in support of the Melbourne Royal Childrens Hospital. Our youngest daughter Isla  was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia on 23rd December 2010............. 3 and a bit years later, little Isla is in remission and going to Kinder.

 

Isla was the face of the Good Friday Appeal last year and as Team Isla, and with your help, we have raised a total of over $50,000 for the last 3 years we have participated in the run. So we hope we can raise some more, much needed funds again this year for the hospital.

 

The grand total for the appeal last year was a record amount of $16,405,534.65. As a proud Dad, I of course thought it must have been Isla's beautiful photo plastered around all over Victoria that made it a record year, but of course I know there is a lot more hard work that goes on along the way by a huge support team for the RCH Good Friday Appeal.

 

Team Isla was put together to help the fundraising efforts for the appeal, and in our little way, to say thank you to the hospital. Thankyou for not only saving Isla's life, but for the many other children who are unfortunate enough to require the hospital, but fortunate enough to have one of the best medical facilities for Children in the world here in Melbourne.

 

I know the RCH can make a difference to so many lives so I hope you can give generously and help Team Isla help to make a difference as well. We will all run, walk and be pushed in prams if we have to, but our aim is to complete the distance and raise some much needed funds for the hospital.
